I agree that grandparents should not be required to pay child support. However, I have been through a grandparent visitation case myself and I conducted my own research on it. I will have to say I disagree with you. It is very unlikely for any grandparent that wants visitation to just get it- however, the circumstances play a major role.

In cases like this, grandparents do get awarded visitation and/or some sort of custody. Think about it- these people have lost their “link” to their granddaughter- her mother. They would see her if they still had that “link” that allowed them to see her. They want to keep their relationship with their granddaughter.

And I have no idea how you get that they are telling their granddaughter “bad” things about the dad.. unless you have been there and heard it yourself!

I will pray for the family of Nonnie. May the strength and wisdom of God get you through each day!

I am sorry to hear about your sister’s disappearance. Her story caught my eye because I am former Army and I recently relocated to Colorado. I hope she is found, wherever she is. God bless you.

I pray every day your sister comes home alive and well. I live down the street from her in the Bluffs, everyday I pass by her home and pray she will be back. I did not know her, nor did I have the chance to meet her, but My heart and prayers are with you and your family.

Has anyone thought that maybe Nonnie has been trafficked? I’ve worked other cases and thats where it took me. It might be as place to look into.

You are right Beau, grandparents should not have to pay child support. Nor should they have parents visitation rights. Nor should they be able to tell lies about a parent to the grandchild. Nor should a father have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to get custody of his own child.

These things are contrary to all that is fair and just AND definitely not in the best interest of the child. Someone should do something to ensure that these injustices get corrected.

People can say whatever they want to the media and on websites. There is no policing authority to ensure that the truth is told.

Truth needs no defense.

For everyone’s sake, especially Savannah, please help find Nonnie Dotson so the truth can be told.

Savannah is looking more and more like Nonnie. I can’t believe how big she’s getting. I remember see’n her right after she was born. I wish the jurors could hear from Nonnie’s friends how that man caused nothing but grief for her and how he had nothing to do with Savannah. Maybe they wouldn’t have made the decision that they did. Those people have no idea of the HELL and stress Nonnie went through. We are still praying for her to come home.

Subject:My prayers
I truly send my prayers to your family and for Savannah. I pray that God will keep her safe, surround her with love and joy.
I truly understand your concern, my daughter’s father walked of her life when she turned 1 yrs old, gave up his rights and acted as if he never knew her, 2 years later came back requesting visitations – only to try to get me to take him off of childsupport. It never happened, and before my daughter is released to him, he has to complete a 12 step program with supervised visits. *which he never did* The thing that never leaves my heart, is how can you deny your own child, abandon them, and then come back and act as if you truly care. For most men like this, it is strictly about getting out of paying their childsupport. I would think any human in their right state of mind should have seen that miles away. I truly pray that he will be the father, your niece needs and so deserves. Some how, some way, Love has filled his heart as a father for his child. To make the grandparents pay childsupport is absurd, if a petition will help just let me know and I will surely sign my name. They are more then willing to take care of their grandchild, had nothing to do with parenting her, but the courts want them to pay childsupport. Is this really what the American justice system has come to. I truly pray some how some way, Noonie will come back – soon and very soon. Where ever she may be, I hope she is well and just trying to find her way home. God bless this family and keep them covered in your love, peace and grace.

I live in the Bluffs near Nonnies home and everytime I pass by her home I cry because I would love to see her outside playing with her daughter. I pray she is found, I pray for Savannah, I pray Savannah is being raised to know her mother. Let me know if there is something I can do to help you out. God Bless all of you, I have been praying for her safe return since November 2006. God Bless You All
